The Sunrise Village Hotel is a Deluxe Class
hotel, located In Chrani. This is a new hotel, between Petalidi (2.5kms)
and Chrani (4kms), and is the best in the area. Set in some 75 acres
leading down to the sea, the surroundings have been kept as natural as
possible, with carefully landscaped indigenous trees and plants, a
traditional design, and local materials used.
Rooms at the Sunrise Village Hotel are either in the main building above
or, more commonly, are bungalow style within the grounds (small blocks of
4-8 rooms on ground or first floor).
All are spacious, with A/C and tastefully furnished in an airy, modern
style. They contain telephone, TV, fridge, bath as well as shower/WC, and
balcony or patio with sea or garden views. All rooms can take extra beds
for families with young children. The hotel has also some inter-connecting
bungalows (ground floor, non-sea view) and runs a children's club for ages
3-11 which operates most mornings and afternoons.
Set to one side, away from the main building of the Sunrise Village Hotel,
are the studios. These are basically the same design and description as
the bungalow rooms and possess the same facilities (A/C, fridge, TV etc.)
with the addition of a small cooking unit (electric rings) and basic
utensils. Studios are sold on a self-catering basis - breakfast is payable
locally if taken - and the hotel has a small mini market for essentials.
