The Philippos Hotel is a B Category
hotel located in the Acropolis area of Athens. Renovated in 1999, it is
now one of the best hotels in its category, just a five minute walk from
the Acropolis, Plaka and the city centre.
The Philippos hotel is comprised of 50 rooms, a combination of twins,
singles and junior suites. All units at the Philippos hotel have
electronic key-card locks, private bathrooms (equipped with bathtubs,
hairdryer, toiletries, wash cloths), colour TV, central heating,
mini-refrigerator, electronic safe, and direct dial telephone with voice
mail messaging system plus an American type wall mount which is suitable
for hooking up modems.
Air-conditioned throughout the Philippos hotel has an open plan lounge
where an enriched continental buffet breakfast is served, and which serves
also as a bar.
Other features of the Philippos hotel include an Atrium (with reinforced
glass ceiling and ambient light), a function room with total capacity of
130 people for meetings and banquets, fitted with partitions that can
create three separate areas equipped with computer connected projectors,
regular projectors, automatic wall screens and audio installation. The
Philippos also provides a laundry / valet service, 1 guest elevator plus a
front desk with concierge facilities.
