On the edge of a Cliff in the village of Oia, Perivolas Traditional Houses are perfectly situated to watch a Santorinian day unfold, under the magic Aegean light, from a pale pink sunrise to a bright orange sunset. The meditative silence is enriched with the sound of bells tolling from the nearby Church, waves lapping on the volcanic shore and the gentle purring of a fishing boat as it glides across the Caldera.

The surrounding Village of Oia offers a variety of good Restaurants, Bars and Shops amongst the Old Cliff-top Houses, the small fishing Village of Amoudi lies below and can be reached via a few hundred steps by those who wish to swim over to the Church-islet of Agios Nikolaos but who are prepared to walk back up.

DESCRIPTION:
In the northernmost Cliff-top Village of Oia the Perivolas Residence is the result of a tasteful renovation of a village winery. Each of the sixteen suites has been converted from the original caves, carved out of the upper terraces of the cliff, where the wine was pressed and stored. With Perivolas' hospitality you fill the luxury of pampering with the comforts of home.

Perivolas is set within an amphitheatrically landscape of curves stepping down to a central stone terrace with a pool that flows over the edge of the cliff into an Aegean horizon. Next to the pool, an old winery is reborn as an Indoor Cafe and a Poolside Bar. Perivolas encompasses 14.000 sq. meters of Vineyards, wild fig trees, beds of red-hot geraniums, orange cactus flowers and fuchsia bougainvillea, enhancing our guests' privacy and tranquility.

ACCOMMODATION:
Faithful to the tradition of Santorini's unique architecture, Perivolas is a restored group of 300 year-old Caves that were once the homes, wineries and stables of indigenous fishermen and farmers. With the help of native craftsmen and using volcanic raw material, this historical setting has been transformed into an A' Class Complex of 17 Private Houses, reviving an age-old neighborhood called Perivolas. Preserving the original structure, each House is unique in shape and character. Spacious interiors, attractively and comfortably furnished in traditional designs, consist of an open-plan Double or Twin Bedroom and Sitting Room, domed bathroom and a well equipped kitchenette. Each suite has its own terrace with magnificent views over the Caldera and one of the most theatrical vantage points on the Island to watch the sun set. There are Studios and Suites ( Junior & Superior ) available.

The Studios are one room, open plan arrangements, while the Junior Suites are larger houses with a sitting area. The Superior Suites contain a separate bedroom. The decor is elegant simplicity personalized with beautiful hand-crafted furnishings and naturally dyed hand-woven bed covers and rugs while modern comforts have been added. Private stone terrace areas with teak deck-chairs bathe in the blue of the Aegean sky with a unique volcano panorama.

RESTAURANT & BAR:
The grounds of Perivolas have been landscaped to provide seating and eating areas. Set by the Poolside Cafe is the Breakfast Buffet with home-made marmalades, apple-pie and cookies, oven baked bread, freshly squeezed juices and local seasonal fruit. Brunch or light Mediterranean Dishes feature vegetables grown in Perivolas' own little Garden. Enjoy a cocktail on your lounge chair by the Pool while being seduced by Oia's Sunset. Linger at the bar over a glass of wine from the selective Wine List, while candlelight reflects off hand-sculpted walls.
