After the Acropolis, Delphi is the most popular archaeological
site in Greece. Located 180 kilometres from Athens, a trip to
Delphi is listed in just about every tour itinerary and is by
far the most popular day trip out of Athens.

On this tour you'll leave for Delphi in the morning going via
the National highway through the Veotia region. Arriving in
Delphi you'll visit the Museum of Delphi with its spectacular
finds including the world famous Charioteer, the Naxian Sphinx
and the Statue of Antinoos.
After
the museum you'll visit the archaeological site, the ancient
sanctuary of Delphi know as the “Navel of the Earth”.
Feel the mystery surrounding the "Temple of Apollo" where
Pythia was seated giving out her predictions of the future and
see the “Castalia Spring” with the two monumental
fountains receiving water from the spring for the last 3000
years.
After lunch you'll leave Delphi and drive through the
traditional village of “Arachova”, built on the south slopes of
Mount Parnassus and known for its famous handmade carpets and
quilts. Then you will continue, passing through the cities of Levadia and Thieves before arriving back in Athens in the
evening.

Leaving Athens and driving westwards along the scenic coast and
passing pass over the Corinth Canal
where you will have the
chance to see the famous canal (78-meters high, 24-meters wide,
6,343-meters long and 12 meters deep). Continuing along the
coastal road of the Saronic Gulf, the tour arrives at Mycenae
the legendary home of the Atreides. You'll then see the "Lion’s
Gate" that forms part of the great Cyclopean Wall and visit the
famous beehive "Tomb of King Agamemnon"
After
your visit of Mycenae you'll continue by driving through Argos
to Nafplio, a beautiful and well-known town by the
seaside, which was once the capital of Greece. Following lunch,
the tour continues to Epidaurus and the Sanctuary of
Asklepios, one of the most beautiful archaeological sites in
all of Greece. Home of the acoustically perfect theatre where
the tragedies of Sophocles and Euripides were performed until
the end of 4th century BC and since 1955, the home of the
Epidavros Festival that takes place during July and August.
Finally, you'll return to Athens along the Epidaurus/Corinth
road arriving back in Athens at 19:00.
